Manual Entry

The preferred method of capturing data is via source system generated entries. However, it may be required to manually enter shift data into Process Activities for an incomplete shift, if the resource is not instrumented at all or if there is an issue with the source system preventing automated entries.

Resource Type Bulk Edit – Second Tab

A Bulk Edit by Resource Type is where you can apply a single Activity for a specified duration to all resources in a particular category.

The process activity form allows a user to add the same process activity for multiple resources. This will save time entering the same data individually for each resource where a site wide delay has occurred. For example delays could be due to wet weather or public holidays.

To apply a bulk edit to a selected category, follow the below instructions:

  1. Select the Home tab

  2. Select the Process Activities module

  3. Select the Resource Type Bulk Edit tab

  4. Select the date/shift to which you wish to apply the Bulk Edit

  5. Select the resource category e.g. Dozers

  6. Select the required activity, in this example we have selected Weather Delays

  7. Ensure the Show Default 0 Entries is ticked

  8. Enter values (e.g. number of hours) into the duration cells – ensure the respective checkbox is ticked

  9. Add applicable comment

  10. Click the Apply to All button

  11. Click the Save Edits button

Please note: if you leave the tab and return and select the same activity you will need to uncheck the Show Default 0 Entries checkbox or else the actual value and a zero value will be displayed for each resource.

If you would like to make a bulk edit to all but one resource in a category, follow the below instructions:

  1. Select the Activity

  2. Using the check boxes, tick/untick the required resources

  3. Select Apply to all

  4. Select Save Edits

Resource Activity Bulk Edit – Third Tab

This tab was introduced to assist with 100% manual entry reliant sites. It is not the preferred tab to assign a manual entry if the site is dependent on instrumented pieces of equipment. For a more accurate manual entry assignment, please use the first tab, Resource Activity Data.

Bulk edits by Resource Activity allow you to see all the possible activities for a particular resource, therefore allowing you to enter in the different activities for the selected resource for the entire shift in one screen.

Pre-populated grey activities are not included unless you complete all the relevant fields and select save edits. You will then notice the text becomes black when you have completed the value and duration.

Please note: entire rows can be copied or deleted by selecting the row and using the copy and delete command buttons.
